Discussions in asynchronous courses are one of the most important ways you will engage with your peers. They will allow you to share your experiences and opinions on course topics and create a dialogue with the other students in the class.
Your course discussion may have multiple types of engagement. It may be a video discussion or require you to engage and respond to your peers. Consult your professor and syllabus for what is expected of you for your course.
For this example, click “Start a New Thread” and write a practice discussion post to get a sense of what discussions might be like in your class. Answer:
- What is your favorite hobby?
- How did you get into it?
- Who do you do this hobby with?
- Why do you enjoy this hobby?
- Where and when do you do this hobby?
- Please also include a picture in your post that represents your hobby.
